Title: Sapphire Blue By: Kerstin Gier

Sapphire Blue? Say what?! Yup, that's what I said. You know that book Ruby Red that you read forever ago (or maybe you never read it or you did and it wasn't that long ago) well the sequel: Sapphire Blue is coming out soon! Ya, well it's not as exciting as Princess Academy: Palace of Stone by Shannon Hale, but I'm pretty darn excited. I borrowed Ruby Red from the library and I absolutely loved it. I was so sad when I read that Sapphire Blue doesn't come out until October! But then I was at a family gathering and my sister (who is also a book reviewer) said to me: "Hey I have a book for you. It hasn't come out yet, what book do you think it is?" and I felt stupid because here I am in the book world and I can't think of any amazing book that is about to come out. So finally she said: "Sapphire Blue!" I was so darn excited I almost started crying. So she gave it to me and I started reading it instantly and I finished it in a day. So here it goes...
After Gweneth found out that she had the time traveler gene instead of her cousin Charlotte her life changed forever. She found a new love, secret, so secret she wasn't even sure if he even knew it was a relationship. Since she didn't have previous training, she felt like she was going into her missions blindly with little training and absolutely no idea what she was getting into, which was exactly what was happening. She is looking to find out what the power of the Raven is. Her power. Each of the time travelers have a gem and an object. The object the power. She doesn't realize that her power is to see ghosts.
I particularly enjoyed this book because I loved the first one so much. I feel like I could completely read these books again and not be bored with them. I love this style of writing. I love the romance, it shows that no guy is perfect, no love is perfect. That is the problem with these other books they make the guys seem perfect when in all reality guys are rarely mature or super strong and brave. This change was perfect for me.
