Title: Divergent (Divergent Series) By: Veronica Roth

Summary: In Beatrice Prior's Dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue- Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is- she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are- and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves... or it might destroy her.
Review: I have kept this book in my mind for six months now. It is a hard book to forget about. I have never really been a big fan of Hunger Games. I really liked the first book and then the rest really drove me crazy. But I love this book! The Dystopian society is so unique from all the other books that I have read. This book is an amazing twist on Dystopian societies and I am glad that I found it. I would recommend it to girls and boys. Although there is romance it's a kind that boys can get through. For once this story takes place in a city other than New York. Don't get me wrong but I get sick of only reading about books that take place in New York, it was exciting to read about a futuristic Chicago. When Tris makes her decision on what faction she will be in, I was surprised, I couldn't figure out where that came from but as the book goes on the you start to see why she would choose that. A book that keeps me interested and excited, I love it!
