Why a blog?

So I was talking to my sister about why I started this blog. She pointed out the fact that my older sister also had a blog. She said that I just started this blog because Emily did too. Although that is partially true I would like to explain in a deeper perspective. When my sister Emily started her book blog I knew about blogs but I'd never heard of book blogs. I thought it was interesting but I didn't give it much thought. But then her blog really started to get big. I would go to it all the time to see what I should read next. Soon I started thinking: I like books, I like reading, and I like writing, maybe I should start a blog of my own. After a few failed attempts I gave up thinking that this wasn't for me and that I should just stop, I wasn't reading enough and I could hardly ever get to the computer. But lately (since it's summer) I have been reading a ton! I have my own computer now, I thought that I could try it again. So yes I partially started this because my sister introduced it to me so if that answers your question then I'm glad. Although I would be ok with publicity I don't really care. All I want to do is write, and maybe someday I will write a book of my own.
