Katrina or more commonly know as Kat has left the family business. When she was seven years old she went with her uncle to Austria to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen she planned a con of her own- scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country to get away from the family business.
When she gets kicked out of her boarding school for placing the headmaster's mint-condition 1958 Porsche Speedster on top of the fountain in the quad, planned by her buddy Hale, who pulls her from her boarding school life, she learns that a lot has gone on since the three months that she has been away from the family. Like a powerful mobster's priceless art collection has been stolen, and he wants it returned. Now. Only a master thief could have pulled of a job like this. Her father isn't just on the list, he is the list.
Kat must do everything in her power to get those paintings back. She has two weeks to do it, a teenage crew, and, hopefully, just enough talent to pull off the biggest heist in her family's, very crooked, history. She and Hale have to work together to save her father from what ever fate may come to him if the paintings aren't returned to the powerful mobster: Arturo Taccone. Together they must rob the safest Art Museum in the country and not get caught.
I love this book so much I could read it a million times more. Ally Carter is one of my favorite authors. The way that she describes and writes it amazes me beyond my furthest imagination. I feel like I'm right next to Kat doing everything that she does. While reading these books I get lost for hours at a time, away from reality and into the amazing world of the Ally Carter's books. I can't wait to crack open the next book in this series to see what Kat does next. This book is a MUST READ! Although I wouldn't recommend it to boys I definitely recommend it to girls. Although I wished Kat and Hale would of had a little more romance I was satisfied enough at the end of the book to smile and think: ahhh I love a good romance.
My Rating:
Profanity: None
Sexuality: None
Drugs and Alcohol: None
Violence: None
Young Adult Novel
I read the first book of Ally Carter's other series, which was sweet and cute, but Heist Society was a complete winner in my eyes. Kat was just an awesome heroine to read about. And I'm hoping to see a little more romance in the sequel too. :]
ReplyDeleteI think I'm definitely due for a reread of Heist Society.
Well if you enjoyed Heist Society you should really try out the Gallagher Girls series. It's about spies but it really ties into this book too. And there is plenty of romance in it too :)
